Welcome to my webpage. I am currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice at the University of Alabama.
Starting in Fall 2021, I will join the School of Criminology & Criminal Justice and the NCITE CoE at the University of Nebraska Omaha as an Assistant Professor.
My primary research utilizes a multidisciplinary and multi-method framework to understand the relationships among the public, media, law enforcement, and groups that use terrorism. My other research interests include violence and nonviolence in conflict and geographic patterns of crime and violence.
I hold a PhD in Criminology and Public Policy from the School of Public Affairs at American University, an MA in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, and a BA in Political Science and Psychology from Miami University.
